H.323 videoconferencing is a technology that can connect classrooms across town, the state, the nation and the world at a high quality connection speed and appearance. We hope you find these resource relevant and helpful in your videoconferencing endeavors and will post new events to this page for you to participate in as they come up.


Join the MN Internet2 User's Group  (MUG)
This group of Internet2  and Videoconferencing practioners and educators works together to give demos, share resources and plan collaborative events around the state of Minnesota and throughout the country and abroad. Our primary tool of collaboration is video conferencing while exploring the future possibilities of Internet2.

MUG Meeting Dates  2011-2012
The meetings are usually the second Tuesday of the Month from 7:30-8:30 am unless there is a need to change as determined by the group.

Mega Conference Jr

Megaconference Jr. is a project designed to give students in elementary through secondary schools around the world the opportunity to communicate, collaborate and learn in real time, using advanced multi-point video conferencing technology. Video Jockey teams and their interactive partners will develop and share activities focused on both academic and cultural issues. The teams will collaborate with geographically diverse peers on authentic learning activities, thus building international cultural awareness. Participants viewing the days events will be able to address questions to the presenters through a special Megaconference Jr. social networking site.

Megaconference Jr. addresses local and national curriculum standards in multiple subject areas. It will also help students and teachers develop the capacity to effectively utilize high-speed networks, videoconferencing and other emerging technologies to enhance learning experiences.

ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Megaconference Junior is scheduled for May 3, 2012. You can find out more about registration on the Megaconference Jr. Website.

The Schubert Center offers free videoconferencing programs to Minnesota Schools in Dance and Music.

International Wolf Center
Located in Ely, MN the International Wolf Center provides free videoconferencing demonstrations for teachers as well as programming for students at a small cost. Half-price student programs during Wolf Awareness Week!

Global Nomads Group aims to bring the world into the classroom. In doing so, its programs are interactive, innovative, and global.
